Ike tore through Cuba as a Cat.4 and lost some of it's strength. It's headed toward warm water, where it can pick up strength again and head toward Texas or Louisiana.
Residents in the Florida Keys breathed a sigh of relief Monday as a fierce Hurricane Ike turned west on a path away from the low-lying island chain.
The storm has killed several people, torn up homes and property, with a rude force. Flooding is paramount and devastation is found to be everywhere.
Forecasters watch to see which way the hurricane heads, once it gets into the Gulf of Mexico.
