Cyber Monday Ads

The day after Thanksgiving is the number 1 selling day there is for the Christmas Holidays. Everyone heads to the stores as early as 5am to be in line when the doors open at 6am. If you've been there then you know what I'm talking about. Some people make it a yearly ritual, to shop the day after Thanksgiving. To the stores, this day is considered to be Black Friday and just exactly why they call it that I'm not sure. Each year the website iblackfriday.com develops cyber monday ads for many different stores, in order to draw a precised business. I would suppose it's because of the storm of customers they experience, and the onslaught of bad manners, exhibited by them. They produce ads for (ie. bestbuy deals, circuit city ad, officemax specials, etc.) and others according to the sales they will be offering. These are just a few of the name brand stores we are accustomed to shopping at. Black Friday values are adjusted to the stores conveniences and prices. I tried it one year and almost got run down by a little old white haired lady, with her wheel chair. That was a crime going to happen, and I made sure to get out of her way. I made a vow to myself, to never do that again. I know that I'm only one of a few, who decided to stay home in my cozy bed, while others are getting trampled. I've watched several different newscasts showing the objects customers, managed to get to first and they told of the savings they had made, by not waiting to shop later. Shopping later has it's downfall, but at least you don't get beat up or talked bad to. Black Friday shoppers, will be able to go to the website and see all the different ads listed. Then they can decide which store to shop for what item.

Getting Worse

A trader works on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, ...
Mounting concern that the global economy is hurtling toward recession, diminishing investors' appetite for risk and sending world markets lower. Poor earnings Wednesday from major corporations revived worries of a global recession and showed the depth of the financial crisis the Bush administration is trying to tackle. Investors again shifted their focus away from improving credit markets and fixated on worrisome corporate earnings that are raising fears of a deep and painful recession.

Some Of The Senators..........

PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN SAID:"'Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damages morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, quickly tried and hanged!!!" I don't much care where you come from. What your religion is. Whether you're black, white, or some other color...male or female.....Democrat, Republican or Independent.......But I do care when you are a United States Senator representing Citizens of America...and Vote against English as the official language of the United States. Your vote reflects Betrayal. Political Surrender.. Violates Your Pledge of Allegiance. Dishonors historical principle. Rejects Patriotism. Borders on traitorous action and , in my opinion, makes you unfit to serve as a United States Senator...impeachment... Recall........Or other appropriate action is warranted, or worse; If America is as angry as I am, you will realize a backlash so stunning it will literally "knock you out of your socks"......... And preferably totally out of the United States Senate Senators: Your vote against an amendment to the immigration Bill 1348....to make English America's official language is astounding. The entire immigration bill is a farce... Your action only confirms this really isn't about America ... it is about self-serving politics......despicable at best.

Obama's Own Words

Below are a few lines from Obama's books; In his words! From Dreams of My Father: I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites. From Dreams of My Father : I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race. From Dreams of My Father: There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And Black. From Dreams of My Father: It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names. From Dreams of My Father: I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela. And FINALLY the Most Damming one of ALL of them!!! From Audacity of Hope: I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction. We CANNOT have someone with this type of mentality running our GREAT nation!! I don't care whether your a Democrat or a Conservative. We CANNOT turn ourselves over to this type of character in a President. PLEASE help spread the word.

He's Such A Spoiled Brat.........

We have this tabby cat, that we got when he was a small kitten. This boy grew into a giant cat. At first we thought it was a female, but four months later, he finally started to blossom. The name we had given him, didn't fit any more so he adjusted it to fit a male cat. Since then he's become a big part of our lives and demands, his needs very strongly. Aside from being lazy, he is also spoiled. He jumps up into your lap and gets very agitated if you make him get down. If he gets any larger, he will be able to fight.........maybe. Right now, he can't fight his way out of a paper sack.........

What Do You Think?

Did you watch the debate last night? If you did then you can see what's going on and it's not good. I can truthfully say, that I think our country is in for a "big mess". We have enough problems on our plates and now there's going to be more. What were we thinking electing these two? It's going to be a bumpy road the next 4 years and God forbid we re-elect one of these the next term. America..........we are in trouble!

Gas Prices Drop..............

A motorist holds a fuel pump. Oil prices sank Thursday, with ...
This feels good to the pocketbook, but will it be a big problem to the national economy?
Oil prices dipped below $75 a barrel Wednesday, a new 13-month low, as " OPEC" reduced its 2009 petroleum demand forecast amid signs that the global economy is headed for a severe downturn. This is the lowest trading level since Sept. 5, 2007. Regular gas fell nearly 4 cents overnight, nearly 10 percent lower from where they were only a week ago.

A-Rod & Madonna Linked

Story photo: Source: Madonna and Alex Rodriguez Are These two have been linked since early July. Reports have it that they have had an "affair of the heart", and that Alex's wife filed for divorce because of their extramarital affair. Word has it that Guy has been gone from the marriage between him and Madonna for over a year. It was just a matter of finalizing it, with a divorce.

Cowboy's Can't Quite Get It..............

Tony Romo, is going to be out for awhile, with his pinkie finger. So, now we will see just how bad the Cowboy's fare, without his leadership. I know they are having it rough, with all the mistakes they've been making. It seems that there are too many "Chiefs" and not enough "Indian's", to make the team work properly. Each one is trying to prove they are the best instead of working together, to make the team, win. Once again ego and pride in one's own self is getting in the way, of a team effort. There's always been some kind of controversy going on with this football team. Always a bad apple in the barrel and now they have another one to contend with. Cowboys' Adam Jones is suspended for his recent violation of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy. I felt that when they re-instated that guy, it would be trouble. He was already having too many problems, to give him another chance. Naturally, he messed up again, when given the a second chance to prove himself.

Dr. Lark

I have been needing to loose weight for some time. When I went to this website the Metabo-X jumped right off the screen at me. I'm sure this would be a good supplement to start along with a good diet and some exercise. Dr. Lark has taught women the way to handle their exercise, diet, nutrition and stress management techniques. It seems that Dr. Lark has developed this product as a way to help ladies, who are over 40. As with any product that's good, you can't get these things free. The price's a good, compared to the quality you will get, from the product. She also has a free newsletter, and several books that you can get to assist you with your daily living schedule. Go to her website and read the information in order to get a personal idea of what she is offering. I'm sure you will find a wealth of information to guide you.

It's a beautiful morning, here in the DFW area, and a real lazy one at that.......I've been in here playing around on the computer, doing my usual email checks and looking for jobs. When Is It Enough?

I've been going through a private hell, in the last two weeks and am ready for this mess to be over. I have many people who, are sticking their noses into my business. They think their entitled, since I talked to them while I was hurting over it. The situation, is starting to change and knowing how those people feel, is tainting the whole thing. I hope these people will respect my feelings and desires with courtesy and compassion. I have a feeling they will be mean and make smart sneers at my remorse. I really want this to come out right, but know that there will be repercussions. So, I will tread lightly and see what happens.

Fall Weather

This week has really brought in the "fall" weather. It's been nice and crisp in the early mornings the last few days. I actually had to grab a cover last night. I've been sleeping with the windows partially open at night for the fresh breeze. I knew that when the State Fair started that the weather would change. I was glad to get the nice rain we got last weekend, it softened up the hard ground and kept my plants, from dying.

Monday, October 6, 2008

Finally

It was nice to wake up this morning to the sound of rain. For a change the weatherman was right and we got the much needed rain. This is the first rain we've had in our area since hurricane Ike came through. The weatherman also said we may possibly get more rain this weekend, with the approaching tropical storm that's in the west. That also would be nice for our area, with all the droughts we have experienced in recent months and years. I only hope this winter isn't rough on us, considering how fast it's gotten cool this year. Freezing weather is not my forte, I get cold too easy.

A Diet?

I got into the mood to start a diet, since I'm single again and over weight. No body wants some one fat, and I guess that leaves me out for awhile. So, I've been trying to get my body oriented into the fact that a diet is taking place. I'm giving myself heck and it's giving me heck right back. I stupidly took some old old diet pills I had lying around for a few years and boy did my system take off. It went into unknown areas that I've not been into, since childhood, when mom gave me that awful SSS tonic. I mean it has given me fits, for 2 days now and my stomach is still growling at me. I'm starting to feel a bit weak even though I've eaten the way the diet tells me to. I guess my body is more used to the over eating and is unhappy with me. I don't have a scales, but it feels like I've lost 5 pounds, with all the running to the bathroom, that I've done. I don't know how long I can hold out, but at least for now.......I'm trying.
