People sit outdoors as they wait to receive medical treatment during the Remote Area Medical health clinic at the Forum in Inglewood, California August 14, 2009. The Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corp is a non-profit organization that provides free health care, dental care and eye care in remote areas of the United States and the world since 1985 and will be available in the Los Angeles area from August 11 to 18. The nation's poverty rate increased to 13.2 percent, up from the 12.5 percent in 2007. That meant there were 39.8 million people living in poverty. It was the highest rate since 1997. The statistics released Thursday cover the first full year of the current recession.
How are these people going to afford health insurance, if the government makes it a law, that you have to take out "health care insurance" or get fined? What will they do, levee a fine on the government checks, and make the people do without needed money? Will they throw people into court for not paying the fines? What is happening to "our America"?
