This method to extract oil and gas from the shale in the ground has law maker's trying to decide whether or not to ban it. I live in the DFW area and in recent months noticed a decline in earth quakes down in the region where the oil companies have been "fracking". The US government as well as state governments, are having environmental inspections to determine the dangers and effects on the surrounding areas of land. Some governments have already placed a ban of such activities. New York has given an okay to the process and that's causing plenty of worry.
