Lemonade

Just when you think things are going right and your life is rolling along well, something always happens and throws you a curve. I have been doing a part-time job recently and never thought anything so stupid could happen to ruin a good deal. Dealing with the public all these years, has given me a lot of experience and so I didn't think I wouldn't be able to deal with this problem. Oh but nay........this is just another thing to test my ability to handle trials and problems in this life. They say when life hands you a bunch of lemons, make lemonade.........I guess I'll be drinking alot of lemonade.........from the looks of things.........

I can remember when TV stands were a table you had that you knew was sturdy enough to hold that heavy thing. Things have progressed down through the years and the TV's aren't as heavy and the tables went to entertainment centers. Loose Weight

Rare Earthquake......

A magnitude-5.0 earthquake struck at the Ontario-Quebec border region of Canada on Wednesday, shaking homes and businesses from Toronto to the states of New York and Michigan. 
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The midday quake was felt in Canada and in a number of U.S. states, including Michigan, Vermont and parts of upstate New York.

Monaco's News.....

The palace announced the engagement of "His Serene Highness" Prince Albert of Monaco, 52, and Charlene Wittstock, 32, a former Olympic swimmer for South Africa, who also worked as a school teacher before moving to Monaco. The statement Wednesday did not indicate a planned wedding date but put to rest months of speculation that the two longtime companions would tie the knot.

Wireless

 Technology has expanded to the point of becoming wireless, and this naturally calls for up dating your electronic accessories.  You need a wireless router  with your laptops, when you get this type of service.  I've stayed with conventional desktops so far.  I may find the need to obtain a wireless router, if I purchase a laptop in the near future.  Have been considering doing so recently, but never made the initial effort to do so.  It's coming down to the final decision, and I must do some shopping around.

Writing Just To Write

What I have here is a chance, to work and I’m finding it hard to keep the criteria going to speed along the process and still be able to get my posts done in a timely manner. I have to write a post between each paid post in order to comply with the rules and standards of the websites I’m working for. So, without further delay I write in order to write. Now how is that for understanding, what I’m saying to you? If your a blogger then you totally understand and just maybe you have a small bit of sympathy for me.
Either way, it’s got to be done or else. We know what that or else, means. Rejection, is a hard word to swallow and one I don’t handle too well. Just ask my colleagues. They know all too well, to get out of the way, when rejection, creeps into my world.

Goodbye Jimmy Dean.....

Born in 1928, Jimmy Dean was raised in poverty in Plainview, Texas, and dropped out of high school after the ninth grade. He went on to a successful entertainment career in the 1950s and '60s that included the nationally televised "The Jimmy Dean Show."

In 1969, Dean went into the sausage business, starting the Jimmy Dean Meat Co. in his hometown. He sold the company to Sara Lee Corp. in 1984.  Jimmy Dean, a country music legend for his smash hit about a workingman hero, "Big Bad John," and an entrepreneur known for his sausage brand, died on Sunday. He was 81.

Oh No........Not Again........

Flash floods swamped campgrounds along a pair of southwestern Arkansas rivers early Friday, killing 16 and leaving anguished families pleading with emergency workers for help in finding dozens of missing people.
More than 40 people were unaccounted for after the Caddo and Little Missouri rivers rose quickly overnight — at times faster than 8 feet per hour, a retired emergency medical technician coordinating with families to determine who was dead and who had yet to be found.

Another Failed Attempt..........

Well, there it went. Right down the drain, just like so many others. I have a lousy track record for friendships. I just can’t seem to get it right. You think things are going good and poof, they blow up in your face. I’ve always considered a good friendship not to have boundaries. But I sure was wrong on that idea.
The idea that a friend was there no matter what, or that a friend would understand or care about what was going on with you, just became my ideas. Not anyone else’s. I guess I’m just too old fashion. I believe with all my heart, love the same and try to be a friend as well.
I finally allowed myself to try again to have this type of relationship with someone, and once again was shot down. I forgot that their life has it’s own querks and that I must remember that there are boundaries, to a friendship. I guess I think that everyone has the same ideas, and values that I do.
Heck, I also forgot that this is a diversified world of people, who have been raised in different environments, than me. Who did I think I was to be so selfish as to think everyone could think and feel like me? I’m so out of touch with reality, that I actually tried!
I’m sure it will be a long time again, before I’ll do that same thing. I don’t like being treated with disdain and talked to in such a horrible manner. So, to protect myself from such candor, I will go back into my safe shell and stay there. It’s much safer inside and I can like myself anyway I want to. Darn that sounds childish. I guess there’s just been too much rejection in my world, for me to be able to cope very often. I can’t accept making the effort and having it thrown back at me, like a bad piece of meat. So, I’ll just stay the heck out of everyone’s way and make my own way.

We Need Our Military.......

Recently I got into a debate with a person from another nation, and this is what I wrote: Do you remember 911, then how can you say America, does not need an army? Land of the FREE and home of the BRAVE, didn’t get that way, by letting people run over us. America, needs to protect itself for these stupid people, who are jealous of our country…….. Yes, we need an army in today’s world. America is well sought after, by all people fleeing the countries, that have them in oppression. We the American people, have let our guards down and have been infiltrated more than once, by these terrorists. Pearl Harbor, and 911, is a good example of those type of threats. America, is still a great country and like I said, many are jealous.

Food Stamps Take Too Long.......

The food-stamp programs in 39 states left at least a quarter of applicants waiting weeks or months for food aid, some in areas that were not particularly hard hit by the economic downturn.  Many families, have had a long wait and eventually their food supplies ran out.  Among the excuses for the delays were overburdened bureaucracies, staff shortages or program rules. But that makes little difference to parents with hungry children.

Gas Well Explosion

A large natural gas line in north Texas erupted Monday after utility workers accidentally hit the line, sending a massive fireball into the air and leaving one worker missing hours after the blast.  The last time I looked at the news that was breaking, it said that there were 3 dead and 10 missing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so, I guess the news will tell us at 10pm what's really going on!

Rue McClanahan, the Emmy-winning actress who brought the sexually liberated Southern belle Blanche Devereaux to life on the hit TV series "The Golden Girls," has died. She was 76.

Natural Aides........

I always wondered how my grandmother could get up so early in the morning.  When I asked her, she would tell me that she couldn't sleep so she might as well get up.  Now that I am older if find the same problems with sleeping.  There are natural sleeping pills  on the market that can be used to aide with these problems.  I've always been afraid of using any type of sleeping pills because of possible addiction.  These are considered natural, and therefore safe to use.  I still would consider a doctor's opinion, before using.
