People seeking to withdraw funds line up outside the Bank of Antigua in Collage.

A view of seaside Christiansted from the top of Recovery Hill, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands February 21, 2009. Texan billionaire Allen Stanford, who is at the center of a multi-billion dollar U.S. Fraud charge, owns several residential tracts in a largely undeveloped area just outside Christiansted. A resident is worried that Stanford's latest troubles may permanently kill off the project, along with other investments he has on St. Croix, the largest of the three main U.S. Virgin Islands.
Texas financier Allen Stanford, seen here at Lord's cricket ground in London last June, was tracked down in Virginia, as investigators probed his reported auditor in Britain. Authorities seized the Bank of Antigua as sweeping fraud allegations piled up against Texas financier and cricket impresario Allen Stanford.
