We got t1 internet at my office at the suggestion of my boss and I have to say this is one of the first times in recent memory that he was right. I know he’s a smart businessman but when it comes to actually making this place function correctly it’s all up to me and my coworkers. He hates having to be involved in any of the day to day stuff so when he came to us and said he had some technology suggestions we were all like, what? So anyway, we’ve really been enjoying the faster internet in here and it’s been nice not having to worry about the connection going out when we don’t have the time to deal with it. We’re lucky because for the last few years we’ve been picking up a connection from the hotel next door but that’s not exactly a good long term business strategy! I’m glad my boss is getting more involved and that his ideas are actually good ones and not things we just have to get through!

Family & Friends Say Goodbye

I didn't watch all of the funeral, because there's just so much of the sad stuff that I can take at one time.  I did watch a few excerpts while it was in progress.  The fitting part was at the end, when the casket was being taken out.  I thought it fitting for the pallbearers to lift her to their shoulders and carry her out of the church.  Whitney Houston's death has made a huge impact of millions of people.  Today, she was laid to rest next to her father, and we celebrate the life that she gave to us.  Her voice truly came from one place, and it's back where it came from.  So long Whitney..........RIP

Snow?

The "DFW" areas of Texas were issued a storm warning in the realm of sleet mixed with snow.  That was last night and it was to last through this morning.  Man, it's been raining most of the day and it's still dripping off the house from all the moisture.  I noticed that the weathermen are predicting more rain this coming Wednesday.  I'm sure the ground is soaked, but the lakes need it, so I will just have to put up with the extra rain.  Planting my potatoes, will be a muddy mess, if I get to do it this weekend.

Grammy's

The show went on even though the music world had lost the sweet "Whitney".  They took time to make a portion of the show to give honor to her memory.  It was a nice gesture and I'm sure the family and friends appreciate it deeply.
Once again "Lady Gaga" proved her flair for flaunting her body with bizarre styles.  Adele made off with several awards and I guess you could say she rocked the show.

Whitney Houston is Dead..........

She wowed audiences with effortless, powerful and peerless vocals that were rooted in the black church but made palatable to the masses with a pop sheen.  She was the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston, the cousin of 1960s pop diva Dionne Warwick and the goddaughter of Aretha Franklin.  Houston first started singing in the church as a child. In her teens, she sang backup for Chaka Khan, Jermaine Jackson and others, in addition to modeling. Whitney Houston, who ruled as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died. She was 48.
