Immigration reform rally in North Texas Saturday

The so-called 'Mega March' rally starts at 1:00 p.m. in front of the Cathedral Guadalupe Church, located near the intersection of Ross Avenue and Pearl Street in downtown Dallas. Marchers will travel south on Pearl, turning west on Young Street, south on Akard Street, and east on Marilla Street to end up at Dallas City Hall. Those who need to travel in downtown Dallas on Saturday afternoon should expect heavy traffic.  Arizona's tough new immigration law has re-ignited a nationwide controversy.

Rural Living

My sister lives out in a rural area, and enjoys the outdoors that their farm offers.  Along with this kind of living comes other responsibilities that need to be taken care of on a yearly basis.  They called a good septic tank professional to examine their unit and let them know what was needed to keep it running well.  Often you need to get a septic tank cleaner  to come and flush out the debris that can collect when the chemicals aren't able to dispose of it.  One thing I've been told is to watch the amount of toliet paper you flush.  I know of many who just place used paper in the waste basket for disposal when the trash truck makes their weekly pickup.

Cold People....

The homeless man lay face down, unmoving, on the sidewalk outside an apartment building, blood from knife wounds pooling underneath his body.
One person passed by in the early morning. Then another, and another. Video footage from a surveillance camera shows at least seven people going by, some turning their heads to look, others stopping to gawk. One even lifted the homeless man's body, exposing what appeared to be blood on the sidewalk underneath him, before walking away.

How can people just walk on by and not call for some sort of assistance?  This is a sad day and age we are living in, when no one will make the effort to help their fellow man.

Need To Reduce......

I've been reading reviews on different diet pills, as I try to decide which one might have the best effect on my situation.  I've seen many reviews on these products and what the side effects could be.  They tell us that  apidexin can be effective, if used in the proper way.  Naturally, that means a good diet, along with exercise.  I feel that if a person does those two things, they will loose weight or build muscle mass.  More information can be found if you click on the above link.

Your Office

I've been looking at several different decors to furnish my home office.  Working at home gives me the freedom to be comfortable and still make a certain amount of wages.  I'm sure I will be able to find great deals on  office furniture  once I get busy shopping online.  I have an idea of what I looking for and will do several searches, before I truly make a final decision on the things I want to buy.  I'm considering a corner unit, which will encompass my computer and all the amenities needed.

1st Morning Cup

Here I sit having my first morning cup of coffee, and wishing I hadn't had that last beer yesterday evening.  I've been languishing in my disappointments lately and having a few beers, gets me on to the next day.  I have a hard time staying asleep, because what goes in must come out.  The bathroom gets several visits from me during the night.
The fist cup of coffee helps pull the cobwebs out of my brain and get me going on this new day I have to experience.  It's a beautiful day outside, and I'm sure it will be even better when I sample all the wonderful things this new day, has to offer.

Theme Park Vacation

I can remember going to one of the "theme parks" in Florida.  We had a great time, and tried to keep our spending under control.  The economy being the way it has been, many have opted to stay at home and save their money.  It's come down to the point of forcing vacation spots to lower their fees and give great package vacations.  When shopping for Orlando vacations  and trying to find a good vacation package you can search the internet and find many offerings.  For more information click on the above link and look around.

Volcano Reeks Havoc.......

A week of airspace closures caused by the ash threat to planes created the worst breakdown in civil aviation in Europe since World War II. More than 100,000 flights were canceled and airlines are on track to lose over $2 billion. The aviation crisis that began with an April 14 volcanic eruption in Iceland left millions of passengers in limbo and sparked calls for a wholesale reform of Europe's air traffic system.
Scientists at Iceland's meteorological office said the Eyjafjallajokull volcano produced very little ash Thursday but remained quite active, with magma boiling in the crater. The plume of ash was below 10,000 feet (3 kilometers) and winds were not expected to take it over 20,000 feet.

Too Fat.....

I have a need to loose some of this fat and get in better shape, for the summer.  I suppose that getting the best diet pills  on the market would be good.  I've seen the price's and don't wish to spend that type of money to loose weight, when I could just push away from the table.  It's good to be healthy and I know that I'm not going to be healthy if I don't loose some of this weight.  More information is needed for me to decide on my next course of action.

Sarkozy To Submit.......

Legislators and members of the government have been discussing ways to limit veils such as the burqa and niqab and chador for months. France banned Muslim head scarves and other "ostentatious" religious symbols from classrooms in 2004. The president decided the government should submit a bill to parliament in May on an overall ban on such veils "in all public places."  It is Sarkozy's first political action toward an outright ban, though he has repeatedly said such outfits oppress women and are not welcome in France, home to a firmly secular government.

Fire Captain......

It takes a special individual want a life as a fireman.  Whether it’s a handling forest fires, city or urban fires, these people experience life threatening situations.  A good leader is needed in each fire unit, and this leader in turn can interact with other fire unit supervisor’s, during a large effort.

The supervisor’s of fire unit’s have gone through extensive training, in the field of fire service administration.  A certain amount of education has already been established, when they move forward in the ranks.  To enhance this education it is best to further their education and obtain a  Bachelor of arts in fire service  administration degree.  Having the knowledge to manage and form control efforts in any given situation is the job of a fire unit’s Captain.  He is responsible for the leadership of his unit, along with the training of his fire personnel.  Getting  a good stable educational training, is essential to be the type of leader your personnel respects and follows willingly.

Professional Beauty Expert.........

Are you looking for a professional job in the field of cosmetology?  Maybe you are considering going into the movie business, working on a cruise lines, or being a personal expert for some famous person.  In the State of Wisconsin, there is a Beauty college that specializes in every trick of the trade.  The  cosmetology school in Wisconsin  has highly trained professionals that can give you the best training available.  I know that taking certain types of training can give operator’s an advantage, where others who only know a part of the field of beauty can operate.
I worked at a local magnet school that had several different trade departments where students could train in a certain field.  One of the departments was cosmetology where the students learned to cut hair, style it, and give other beauty treatments.  Many of us teachers plus other personnel at the school, were allowed to get our hair shampooed, cut & styled by the students for a small fee.  I’m told that when they graduated from high school they were ready to take the more advanced courses at a lock cosmetology college, and get their license.  For more information on the cosmetology school, click on the above link and look around the website, to decide on a specialty in this trade.

Phil Wins Augusta

Even sweeter than Phil Mickelson slipping into another green jacket was seeing his wife waiting for him behind the 18th green at Augusta National with tears streaming down her face.
Amy Mickelson, with her long blonde hair and easy smile, had not been at a tournament since she was diagnosed with breast cancer 11 months ago.  Her husband had not looked the same ever since.
A shattered world seemed at peace in the fading sunlight Sunday at the Masters, where Mickelson made one last birdie for a 5-under 67 to capture his third green jacket with a three-shot victory over Lee Westwood.
The outcome was never in doubt when he arrived on the 18th green. The conclusion was more emotional than anyone expected.
“I wasn’t sure if she was going to be there,” Mickelson said.
He shared a long embrace with his wife behind the 18th green, and as he walked to the scoring trailer to sign for the lowest score at Augusta in nine years, a single tear trickled down his cheek to his lip.
“We’ve been through a lot this year. It means a lot to share some joy together,” Mickelson said at the green jacket ceremony, his voice cracking has he struggled to keep control. “It’s been such an incredible week, an emotional week. And to cap it off with a victory is something I can’t put into words.
“It’s something we’ll share for the rest of our lives.”

Blood Pressure.........

I know you've seen  people who have health problems wearing these things.  They are simply great when it comes to being safe and secure with your heart.  A rise in your blood pressure can cause a heart patient to be fearful of the outcome.  Being able to have a wristech blood pressure monitor  can help you keep up with your pressure and be on the safe side, when it comes to preventing heart attacks or strokes.
Many people who exercise use these to keep up with their heart rates, in order to know when they've reached their level of activity.

Texas Stadiom is Gone.......

I remember seeing it being built, and the excitement when it opened many years ago.  I went there a couple of times to Cowboy games, but wasn't able to afford the ticket prices and parking.  So staying home and watching it on the TV became more convenient.
This morning I awoke to the booming sound of the fireworks going off, just before the implosion.  At first I thought it was thunder, and rain was approaching.  When it didn't stop and kept booming, I realized it was the Texas Stadium Implosion taking place.  I picked up the remote and turned on the TV in time to watch the fireworks display complete and then the countdown, before the young man pushed the button.  The rest is history, as is the stadium of the Cowboy's for so many years.  Now it lies in a huge pile of rubble, waiting for the cleanup crews and their mighty machines to remove the debris.
So long and goodbye to the memories and the great times had by all in this once huge beautiful stadium....!

The coal mine rocked by an explosion that killed at least 25 workers in the nation's deadliest mining disaster since 1984 had been cited for 600 violations in less than a year and a half, some of them for not properly ventilating methane — the highly combustible gas suspected in the blast.
The disaster at the Upper Big Branch mine has focused attention on the business and safety practices of the owner, Massey Energy, a powerful and politically connected company in Appalachia known for producing big profits, as well as big piles of safety and environmental violations and big damage awards for grieving widows.

Prescriptions......

Many people who are in need of certain medicines, and can't afford the high prices' are resorting to buying online.  Some of the prescriptions can be bought without an official prescription from a doctor.  Buying your medicine from an outside pharmacy can give you more bulk products for the price.  I find that buying  phentermine without a prescription  is better than getting it at my local pharmacy.  The quality is the same, and the quantity is more, for the price that I pay.  Today's economy has cause many to search for better deals and this is one of them.

Pressure on Putin.....

Putin admitted that there's little prospect of locking down Moscow's sprawling transportation system, which is used by upwards of 10 million people daily, including thousands of market vendors who routinely lug large packages on and off metro trains. But he called for increased use of surveillance equipment, such as security cameras, as has become common practice in London and other European capitals.  But no one is sure what options may be available to crush the insurgency that is spreading in the mainly-Muslim North Caucasus and now, once again, appears to threaten Russia's main population centers with random violence.

Going on a Diet?

It's necessary for the body to have the needed nutrients to maintain itself and be healthy.  If you go on a diet, then you know that many times your body looses many of these.  You will need to take vitamins, or natural diet supplements  to ease the stress cause by dieting.  Your body becomes ready to adjust, when it thinks you are getting less food.  You need to keep your diet working in order to reduce the fat build up.  Taking supplements, will keep your body running the way it should while you make the efforts to obtain weight loss.

Easter Duty........

The Catholic Church requires that all Catholics who have made their First Communion receive the Holy Eucharist sometime during the Easter season, which lasts through Pentecost Sunday, 50 days after Easter. They should also take part in the Sacrament of Penance before receiving this Easter communion. This reception of the Eucharist is a visible sign of our faith and our participation in the Kingdom of God. Of course, we should receive Communion as frequently as possible; this "Easter Duty" is simply the minimum requirement set by the Church.

Adult Acne........

I thought once I got older that all that stuff would be over with.  Boy, was I confused about the crap they call acne.  It's a mess and I'm sure to find that I will have an out break from time to time.  Now this is embarrassing and I don't like having a big red zit on my face, at my age.  There are places you can get  adult acne treatments
and get help with the recurring problems.  I need more information about the type of treatments they offer, so it will be necessary to investigate further.  If you are interested, then click on the above link and look at the information this website offers.

The Date of Easter..........

Because Christians in different areas were celebrating Easter on different days, the Council of Nicaea, in A.D. 325, established a formula for calculating the date of Easter. That formula was designed to place Easter at the same point in the astronomical cycle every year; if followed, it would always place Easter on a Sunday after Passover. And indeed, that formula is still followed today.

New Baby?

There's a special time when a new mom, needs to show her prize.  If not show it, then at least announce the arrival of her new one.  She can use the internet world to handle many of these things, but it's still nice to send out birth announcements , especially to those people who don't use the internet.  I remember sending them to family and friends back when my children were born.  But the internet wasn't even born back then.  You can get other announcement cards, such as baby shower invitations.  For more information click on the above link.

More Flooding......

What the governor called the worst flooding in 200 years could persist for several days and permanently close businesses already struggling in the weak economy.  The latest flooding there was far worse than an inundation earlier this month in the same areas, and the ripple effects were vast and still being tallied: Hundreds were forced from their homes and thousands of properties lost power. Bridges and highways were washed out from Maine to Connecticut and sewage systems were overwhelmed to the point that families were asked to stop flushing toilets.
