I was recently sent this in the mail by Marlo Thomas, the daughter of this esteemed man. I loved him as an actor back during my early years of watching TV. To me he was the epitome of good wholesome man.......his efforts to help people who were unable to handle the expenses for their sick childrens care is outstanding beyond words. It is with utmost respect that I challenge you to follow in this man's footsteps and help by making a donation to his research and hospital groups. You won't regret the efforts and the families, won't forget the needed assistance. Give a child the hope of a future, by making that pledge today.......

Milk Going Up?
From the looks of things it will be hard to get a container of milk in coming months. The dairy farmers can no longer afford to feed the cows that produce the milk. It's my opinion that milk is already too high and now it will even be hard to find.........
Prices for milk now are about half what it costs farmers to produce the staple, and consumer prices are falling. Unless the market can be bolstered, industry officials project that more than 1.5 million of the nation's 9.3 million milking cows could be slaughtered this year as dairy operators look to cut costs and generate cash.

Chavez Trying for Re-election
Residents wait to enter a polling station to cast their votes in Caracas. Venezuelans go to the polls Sunday in a referendum on a constitutional amendment which could allow President Hugo Chavez and all other elected officials to run for re-election indefinitely.

The Stimulus Bill.......
The House could vote on the bill as early as Thursday, though Friday seemed more likely. The Senate would follow, but its schedule is less certain.
The $500-per-worker credit for lower- and middle-income taxpayers that Obama outlined during his presidential campaign was scaled back to $400 during bargaining by the Democratic-controlled Congress and White House. Couples would receive $800 instead of $1,000. Over two years, that move would pump about $25 billion less into the economy than had been previously planned.
Officials estimated it would mean about $13 a week more in people's paychecks when withholding tables are adjusted in late spring. Critics say that's unlikely to do much to boost consumption.
Millions of people receiving Social Security benefits would get a one-time payment of $250 under the agreement, along with veterans receiving pensions, and poor people receiving Supplemental Security Income payments.
An additional $46 billion would go to transportation projects such as highway, bridge and mass transit construction; many lawmakers wanted more.

Mother Of Octuplets........
Well, here she is in all her motherly glory......Now what will she do? I just can't believe the audacity of this woman, to think that in these economic times, people want to help her with this whim. I realize it took her own body to do this, but she not being rational. Maybe she needs some counseling at the place she's been drawing money from for her injury. I'm sure there will be needs for formula, diapers and infant clothing. I don't know if she wears Indie Clothing or not, but she will need more, when she looses her baby fat. This image provided by NBC shows Nadya Suleman, left, speaking with Ann Curry in New York, in Suleman's first interview since giving birth to octuplets last week. The interview is planned to be broadcast on the 'Today' show on Monday, Feb. 9 and 'Dateline' on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
