A major earthquake struck off the city of Padang on the coast of Indonesia's Sumatra island on Wednesday, damaging houses, bringing down bridges and starting fires, a witness said.

Tsunami Hits After Quake.......

Mary Dies at 72

Mary Travers, a member of Peter, Paul and Mary trio that played a prominent role in the 1960's folk music revival and helped popularize the work of such artists as Bob Dylan, has died, according to media reports on September 16, 2009.
