Flooding In Tennessee

A line of strong thunderstorms Saturday dumped at least 10 inches of rain on Memphis and produced tornadoes and hail along the Mississippi River Valley in Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky and northward.  Tennessee on Sunday coped with evacuations and closed roads from heavy flooding that claimed five lives, covered city streets and cars left stranded on interstate highways turned into rivers.

Another Earthquake........

A strong 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck in Baja California, Mexico on Sunday, rocking buildings and panicking residents as far away as Tijuana and Los Angeles and Palm Springs, California.

Mexican officials had no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement shows evidence of fake test scores and California identification cards after they were confiscated from a California man who was charged Monday with operating a ring of illegal test-takers who helped dozens of Middle Eastern nationals obtain U.S. student visas by passing various proficiency and college-placement exams for them, federal authorities said.

Terrible Distress........

A crowd of Haitians desperately try to enter a ministry building where aid was being distributed in Port-au-Prince on January 28. Haiti's quake survivors faced rising insecurity with thousands of criminals on the loose and reports of rape and violence plaguing the weak and vulnerable.
I cannot fathom the depth of despair these people must be going through.  The fear of not having proper food, water, clothing and shelter remains days after the first quake.  My only hope is that these people can come to some sort of equality and live with each other in a more safe and controlling manner.
