5th Birthday?

I researched online for what was considered the standard gift for 5 year old's.  Today's technology has lifted the limit and standard for  fifth birthday gifts online  to give.  You can shop for all types of toys and gifts because of the internet.  The dexterity of a 5 year old child is much different today, because of all the training they receive in schools and daycare centers.  Click on the above link and do some shopping.

It's On The Way

A funny perk, is when you are living in a part of the US that is located ahead of the eastern states.  What's funny about it is when I get IM's from family and friends that live up in the eastern zones.  They want to know what's going on here with the weather, so they can fear what's coming up to them.  I say fear, because there have been many times the weather was chaotic with bad storms, tornadoes and such.  Other times they are just ready for some good weather and if I can tell them it's on the way, they seem to find relief.

Another One Down

Well, there it went. Right down the drain, just like so many others. I have a lousy track record for friendships. I just can’t seem to get it right. You think things are going good and poof, they blow up in your face. I’ve always considered a good friendship not to have boundaries. But I sure was wrong on that idea.
The idea that a friend was there no matter what, or that a friend would understand or care about what was going on with you, just became my ideas. Not anyone else’s. I guess I’m just too old fashion. I believe with all my heart, love the same and try to be a friend as well.
I finally allowed myself to try again to have this type of relationship with someone, and once again was shot down. I forgot that their life has it’s own querks and that I must remember that there are boundaries, to a friendship. I guess I think that everyone has the same ideas, and values that I do.
Heck, I also forgot that this is a diversified world of people, who have been raised in different environments, than me. Who did I think I was to be so selfish as to think everyone could think and feel like me? I’m so out of touch with reality, that I actually tried!
I’m sure it will be a long time again, before I’ll do that same thing. I don’t like being treated with disdain and talked to in such a horrible manner. So, to protect myself from such candor, I will go back into my safe shell and stay there. It’s much safer inside and I can like myself anyway I want to. Darn that sounds childish. I guess there’s just been too much rejection in my world, for me to be able to cope very often. I can’t accept making the effort and having it thrown back at me, like a bad piece of meat. So, I’ll just stay the heck out of everyone’s way and make my own way.

Energy

It makes no difference where you live, there's always the electric bill that comes in each month.  Many hope to find the cheaper company, because the cost of living has gotten so high.  The people in Illinois have  illinois energy  to contact for services.  I'm sure they will want to consider the percentage that is being charged on a daily basis.  Comparison shopping can help with families who are under tight budgets.

Blogging

I started 'blogging" back about 4 years ago, when a friend hooked me up with all the information and many "how to's".  I didn't realize the vast areas I was about to go into.  Yet, being the adventurer that I am, and wanting a side job, I took the chance on trying to do at least something rewarding.  Little did I know that today, I would still be blogging and doing paid jobs, making cash. 
I found that some website's have certain guidelines and rules to their work schedules.  Many wouldn't even consider handling some of my blogs.  Others' made me wait the usual amount of time to become vested, so to speak.  When I finally got a blog accepted by one of the website's, it was a scary situation.  I didn't know what was expected or how to go about any of the job requirements. 
After 4 years I find that there are still things out there, I need to learn.  I haven't gotten rich, but at least I can see some of my efforts being rewarded.

Travel Help

Getting ill is a bad thing to experience, but getting caught out on the road and becoming ill is even worse.  I know that no one wants to go on a vacation trip, only to become ill while traveling.  This is when you need  medical help  to come to you.  There aren't many companies that give this sort of assistance to traveler's.  You will want to look at their benefits, and consider investing in their services.

Rain Came

I'm sure you can see the water standing in the garden where it seems to be lower.  I noticed that it ran out into the middle of the garden thus making it's own path to lower ground from where it accumulated.  Since we have been in a drought here in Texas, this is a welcomed sight to all who live here.  These rains have raised the levels of the area lakes and that is also a big help.

Super Bowl

I'm sure by now everyone knows who won the "Super Bowl" game, and who performed at halftime.  I often wonder about the commercials that these companies spend so much money on?  It seems such a waste on some of them.  There are a few that can catch your attention and be something that makes you laugh.  Either way, the game was a good game, and it was nice to see the way the players got along without any fighting or bad conduct.  Everyone seemed to have a good time, and I hope that the local people who went to parties, came away in a good mood with no problems.

Cigars

I'm not really sure why this website would need to auction off their cigars, but here the  cigar auction online  is being offered.  I believe that the people who invest in cigars, want to have fresh ones.  They can get them locally or online when the need arises.  It's very hard to know which brand you might choose, since I don't know many of my readers.  Should you feel the cigar auction is right up you alley, then click on the above link and do some shopping.

Weather

Once again it raining in Texas and that is giving us the needed water for the lakes.  Our lakes have been very low because of the drought we have been having.  Now, we are back to a good water level in the area lakes and this rain has brought us out of the drought situation.  The grass is starting to grow because of the early spring weather.  I see that the rodent up east saw his shadow, which is supposed to indicate 6 weeks of more bad winter months.  I truly hope he is wrong as some of his previous predictions have been in the past.  I'm ready to get my vegetable garden planted and have fresh veggies to put on the table.

Water

 

As you can tell there is water standing in the middle of the rows of onions, down on the left hand side on the photo.  This picture was taken last week when the rain came in abundance.  About 4 inches fell here in the North Texas areas and the weather traveled even further into central Texas where a tornado was located in Austin, TX causing some damage.  

Rain

Well, I can't say that I'm not wanting the rain to come, because it's needed.  Since I can't control the weather, I must accept what comes and be thankful for the good that has been given.  Texas has been in a drought for a good while and now the rain is coming to us.  I had hoped that it would hold off another week so the ground would have time to dry out a bit, and I would be able to plant the potatoes in my vegetable garden.  Right now our soil is very wet from last week's rain and I'm sure it will keep it from drying out enough to plant.

Peruvian Tribe Appears.......

A clan of previously isolated Amazon Indians began appearing on the banks of a jungle river popular with environmental tourists last year.  Peruvian authorities say they are struggling to keep outsiders away from the Mashco-Piro Indians.  Clan members have been blamed for two bow-and-arrow attacks on people near the riverbank in Madre de Dios state.  The tribe is believed to number in the hundreds and lives in the Manu National Park that borders Diamante, a community of more than 200 people.  The clan that showed up at the river is believed to number about 60, including some 25 adults.  The place where they were seen is one of heavy transit of river cargo and tourist passage, and so the potential for more violent encounters remains high.  The Mashco-Piro live by their own social code, which includes the practice of kidnapping other tribes' women and children.
