Basketball
This is the time of the year that many people hate. I for one, can't really enjoy basketball for some reason. Just why I don't know. I played it in high school and enjoyed the adrenal rush it gave me. I realize there are die hard fans out there for every sport. Yet, for me as well as other's, it seems that this time of the year is boring for television viewing. Sorry, I can only handle a few plays or maybe one game and then I am off to view other things.

Japan Threatened with Breach......
Radioactive contamination at the Fukushima Dai-ichi plant is more serious than once thought. A breach could mean a much larger release of contaminants. The most likely consequence would be contamination of the groundwater. Suspicions were raised when two workers suffered skin burns after wading into water. It is said that exports of certain foods has been stopped because of the contamination. Many people are buying up the bottled water and help organizations are shipping bottled water in to be given to families with small children and babies. They are more at risk from the radiation and need bottled water that is free of it.

Have A Cigar......
I'm not sure what this online store is calling their cheap backwoods cigars because most cigars I've seen on today's markets are not cheap. I'm not a smoker, but many of the world population still hang on to their habits with pleasure. I'm sure there are plenty who consider a good cigar as something they relish on a daily basis. You also have the young father's who are giving out cigars to announce the birth of a new baby. For more information about these cigars, click on the above link.

Spring Forward
Tonight is the time to set your clock forward one hour, in order to comply with the time change. This will give us longer days in which to enjoy the fantastic sunshine. This year the time change starts on Sunday, March 13 and ends Sunday, November 6. Not all states observe the time difference: Hawaii, most of Arizona, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands opt out. The hope is that we save energy -- since there's less of a need to switch on the lights if natural light will do. Studies have shown the electricity conserved on the new schedule is actually pretty nominal. But look on the bright side. Those longer light-filled days are sure nice. Searches on the time switch have increased 797% in the last week.
Holidays
The new year has begun and with it comes the holiday's such as Easter and Mother's day. The children have a great time with the Easter activities and then the day to honor Mother comes into focus. There's a great way to make it special with mothers day necklace jewelry to personalize her special time. A gift from her child is always a cherished item, that she holds dear for the rest of her life. To shop for a special necklace for your Mom, click on the above link and see what they have to offer.

The Waves
There have been tsunami waves that swamped Hawaii beaches and severely damaged harbors in California after devastating Japan and sparking evacuations throughout the Pacific. I have a friend who's daughter lives in Hawaii and drives a charter sailboat around the islands. I'm sure he's been in contact with her by phone, to make sure she is well and safe. I haven't called him as yet because I don't want to tie up his phone should she need to contact him. I am holding my breath for some sort of good news from my other friend who is stationed at a military base on one of the islands around Japan. The earthquakes just keep coming and it's not looking good for the final outcome of this disaster.
Healthcare
It's come to my attention that in recent months the hospitals are suffering right along with other establishments. I believe they have enhanced their healthcare now that many of the patients are covered with insurance of some sort. Medicare and Medicaid patients are still sent home as soon as possible because of the 10 days the government allows on any particular stay. It's my opinion that healthcare shouldn't be put on a strict schedule, because of the government restrictions. If you are extremely ill, then you should be allowed healthcare financed by the government assistance's, if you are on Medicare or Medicaid.
Cards
The economy has put such a strain of the financial status of families, until they are unable to maintain good credit standings. I find that with a reward card they can get points or percentages that give back to the customer when they make certain purchases. Everyone needs extra incentive these days, and this type of card gives you that feeling. Whether it gas, clothing, groceries or other items, you can make sure that you get a reward back from this company.

Prom or Otherwise?
It that time of the year when families are shopping the stores for a bargain on special occasion dresses to dress their daughter's for the prom. You know that she wants something special and unique to impress her friends and that boy that she seems to like. The price's are staggering for these type of dresses and with the economy today, it's very hard to afford one. You can find great deals, if you take to time to search the web and look to find a profit from your purchase. It's there and all you need to do is shop for it.
Printing Coupons
Installing a coupon printer is not as easy as you'd think. I tried to do it and my computer just acts as if I'm stupid........I don't like to be treated stupid especially by software or the computer. Why can't things be simple when you do exactly what the website tells you to do? I would like to print of those coupons for grocery items, but it won't go for it!
