Football

Have you noticed that when 2 football teams are playing and they are not in the playoffs, that they hold back their main players?  I'm sure you know why this is, and even so I believe they should earn their salaries.  The team manager's and coaches decide that it's best to bench these important players in order to protect their ability to play next season.  They want them to stay healthy for the coming year.  The idea is to play members of the team that you don't have as much money invested in, and who aren't as important to the team's success.  The team has already lost the chance to make this season a winner, so it's a maintaining situation.
