Freddie Mac's acting chief financial officer David Kellermann was found dead in his Washington area home Wednesday of an apparent suicide, police said. It looks as if the poor man, finally gave under the stress of this year's economic problems, with the financial system at Freddie Mac. Our condolences are with the family and friends.

Mission to the Hubble......

The space shuttle Endeavour sits on launch pad 39B after rolling out from the vehicle assembly building at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida April 17, 2009. Endeavour will be acting as a rescue vehicle if needed for the upcoming shuttle mission to the Hubble Telescope.

This August 2008 image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope and Chandra X-ray Observatory show a clear separation between dark and ordinary matter during a clash 5.7 billion light years from Earth. European astronomers said on Wednesday that an anomalous energy signal detected by an orbiting satellite could be a telltale of the enigmatic substance known as dark matter. I'm sure they haven't found God, or Heaven as yet...............if so, the whole world would know.

To Believe........

Many things come to mind, as I write this post. Mostly I find the reasons, come from within. Finding reasons to believe, are very hard to do, when you are so wrapped up in other feelings and locations of emotions. You may ask, what are we believing in on this subject or that? Well, it may be yourself, your mom, dad, sibling, a friend, mentor or great leader. Things that help us believe, come from the heart, inspiration, or just a incident that happened, waiting for us to see it. Believing in something gives us a reason to live our life daily, in the manner, we need to feel comfortable. If we believe, then there is a strength to carry us through any occurrence, we may come in contact with. To believe, is to have a reason or a value in which, to live and have hope of the future.

New Drug Czar to Be Named.........

The Obama administration has promised to crack down on border violence and work with Mexican authorities to curb drugs and arms trafficking. Hundreds of federal agents, along with high-tech surveillance gear and drug-sniffing dogs, are being deployed to the Southwest. Homeland Security is naming a "border czar" to oversee issues related to drug-cartel violence along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Alleged drug traffickers and items seized from them are displayed in Tijuana, Mexico. President Barack Obama has provided more money, technology and manpower to secure the U.S. border region, and is seeking $350 million in new Pentagon funds to help Mexico fight drug trafficking. Obama will visit Mexico City on Thursday for a one-day official visit.

Pirates Seize More Ships

A US Navy helicopter from the guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf closes in on suspected pirates in the Gulf of Aden in February 2009. Somali pirates seized two more ships on Tuesday, brushing off their losses from deadly rescue operations and throwing down the gauntlet to US President Barack Obama after he pledged to curb piracy.

Richard Phillips of Underhill, Vt., the American captain held hostage by four Somali pirates made a desperate escape attempt Friday April 10, 2009, but was recaptured, and officials said other pirates sought to reinforce their colleagues by sailing hijacked ships with other captives aboard to the scene of the standoff. Our prayers are with him and his family........

Earthquake in Italy

Collapsed houses in Onna, a small town 6 miles from L'Aquila, which was at the center of an earthquake which jolted central Italy. A violent earthquake jolted central Italy killing at least 92 people and injuring 1,500 as buildings and homes in a walled medieval town were reduced to rubble.

New Modem

I certainly, have been through a big mess in the last week or so. It seems everything was going against me, as far as my DSL service was concerned. A storm hit, last week, then it came back up..........needless to say, that wasn't the last of it. The electric company decided to install a new digital electric meter throughout the neighborhood, thereby causing a spike, and shutting down my service once again. THEN, to add insult to injury, just when I got it back working again, the phone service tech, came out and checked the line, only to knock it back off again and this time totally destroy the modem. What seemed to be forever to a computer geek, I finally wrangled a another tech to come out, giving me the unpleasant news, that my modem was fried and that I should buy another one. ATT, was not bound to offer me another one free, for my service that I pay so highly for each month. They stuck me with an extra $63.00 on my phone bill for this coming month. Wasn't that nice of them to hit me with more money, while they are cutting back on service, and their personnel, is going on strike because of it? People, we just can't win anymore, and believe me everyone has their hands out for your money.
